Job Description
As a Software Engineer I within Servicing Technology, you’ll help build and maintain the client-facing and team member-facing servicing applications used by millions of Rocket homeowners. Servicing Technology is undergoing a full-scale System of Record modernization, and you’ll contribute across the stack — front end and back end — while growing your craft alongside experienced engineers.
This is a role for someone eager to ship real products and build in an AI-native engineering environment. You will use AI as a core part of how you design, code, test, and debug software, and you’ll be supported with mentorship, code review, and clear guidance as you take on increasing ownership.
About the role
- Code and maintain high-quality full-stack software solutions with guidance from senior engineers.
- Build new features and improve existing functionality across the front end (Next.js or React) and back end (.NET / C#, NestJS GraphQL).
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement product requirements.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Write and maintain automated tests to ensure the reliability and performance of our applications.
- Deploy and support applications on AWS and Amazon EKS through CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify and resolve bugs and issues in a timely manner.
- Use AI code generation tools such as GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar as part of your daily workflow.
- Create and maintain clear, concise documentation for code, APIs, and systems.
About you
- 1–3 years of professional experience in software development.
- Exposure to at least one modern front-end framework such as Next.js or React.
- Exposure to back-end development with .NET / C# and/or NestJS GraphQL.
- Experience with, or willingness to learn, GraphQL integration layers and API development.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerized deployments (Amazon EKS / Kubernetes), or eagerness to learn.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and automated testing.
- Experience using AI code generation tools such as GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and practices.
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
