Job Description

If you are an Application Engineer in Stafford, TX, Emerson has an excellent opportunity for you. This position will provide technical engineering support to both our sales channel and manufacturing site in Stafford that produce products in our Pressure Relief Valve product portfolio in our Pressure Management (PRM) business unit. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Function as a liaison between the sales channel and other internal departments (Marketing, Sales, Engineering).
  • Cultivate effective customer and sales channel relationships while partnering with collaborators.
  • Provide technical assistance to the sales channel concerning product applicability and installation practices.
  • Support with sizing/selection, list price generation, and optimized margin.
  • Analyze common product problems and communicate solutions.
  • Evaluate engineered to order (ETO) and made to order (MTO) solutions including quotation submittal and quoted price point. 
  • Develop and conduct various product training to the sales channel, employees, and customers.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams and promote a shared consciousness.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 25%) 
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • Relevant engineering work or Internship/Co-op experience
  • Experience in a customer facing, service-related, inside sales, or technical sales role
  • Bilingual – English & Spanish
  • Familiarity with various hand and power tools
