Job Description
We’re a collaborative, product-focused engineering team building the technology platform behind one of the fastest-growing leagues in professional sports. We’re looking for an early-career Jr. Software Engineer with 1-3 years of experience who enjoys solving problems and wants to grow alongside experienced engineers — contributing across our web platform, mobile app, and internal systems while gaining full-stack experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and enhance fan-facing product experiences, including player profiles, game statistics, live scoring, fan voting, challenges, newsletters, and other interactive features.
- Develop internal tools that support league operations, content management, player administration, media workflows, and game operations.
- Contribute to full-stack product development, including user interfaces, server-side functionality, database interactions, validation, and application security.
- Maintain and improve integrations with third-party platforms and internal services.
- Help build and enhance our Expo/React Native mobile application.
- Troubleshoot bugs, improve application performance, and contribute to ongoing platform stability.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with teammates to maintain high-quality, maintainable code.
- Work closely with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to deliver features that improve the fan and employee experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably building customer-facing web applications.
- Strong foundation in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience building applications with React.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive web development.
- Experience working with Git, pull requests, and collaborative software development workflows.
- Experience integrating APIs and debugging production applications.
- Ability to understand and extend an existing codebase while following established engineering patterns.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to continuously learn.
- Experience working in a startup or other fast-paced product environment.
- Bonus: experience with:
- Next.js, React Native/Expo
- Relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- Modern ORMs and API development
- Utilizing AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality
