Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Associate Software Engineer to join our dynamic and collaborative customer-facing Member Experience team, working on the Member Web. Our ideal candidate is passionate, creative, and curious about full-stack web development. Candidates must be familiar with React, Java, and object-oriented design.
The Associate Software Engineer is responsible for building Member Web, the member-facing application that enables our digital health management platform. They accomplish this by working closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers. Success in this role is demonstrated by translating business requirements that have an impact on patient care into high-quality solutions coded with security and privacy best practices in mind.
What you will do:
- Design, develop and test new features in an existing code base.
- Develop full stack web development expertise with React, Java, Ruby on Rails, and Postgres.
- Validate design approach with other team members.
- Contribute to code reviews and other team processes.
- Write unit tests, and support the automation team.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to improve member experience.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
- Training or other professional exposure (such as boot camp or internship) for web development with React or other modern Javascript framework.
- Effective communication skills.
- Passionate about leveraging technical skills to help improve patient care.
Nice to have:
- Experience with React development
- Experience with TypeScript
- Familiarity with Postgres or other relational database.
- Experience with Material-UI (MUI) or other component libraries
