Responsibilities
Mortenson’s i4 department seeks an AI intern to join our team to help further the goals of the organization. This role will support the development of AI agents and tools that improve how we work – from smarter communication, automation within construction solutions, and predictive insights. The AI Intern will collaborate with the AI team and Data Solutions to prototype solutions, explore emerging technologies, and contribute to real-world applications of Artificial Intelligence.
Highlights of your time with this Mortenson internship will include:
- Assist in building and testing AI agents and custom AI systems
- Contribute to prompt engineering agent workflows, and user feedback loops
- Help prepare data sets for training and evaluation, while experimenting with pre-trained models for NPL, computer vision, and generative AI
- Document learning and contribute to internal knowledge sharing
- Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
- All other duties as assigned

- Demonstrate strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills and show initiative and leadership
