Job Description
Serco North America is seeking an Entry-Level ServiceNow Developer to support the development, configuration, and enhancement of ServiceNow applications across mission-critical systems. This role is well-suited for a recent college graduate with a strong technical foundation and a desire to grow within enterprise platforms and IT Service Management (ITSM).
This position offers structured on-the-job training and mentorship, providing the opportunity to build hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform while supporting the delivery of reliable, high-quality IT services.
In this role, you will:
- Assist in the development and configuration of applications on the ServiceNow platform using App Engine Studio
- Support implementation and customization of ITSM modules, including Incident, Change, and Request Management
- Develop and maintain ServiceNow components such as:
- Forms and fields
- Business rules
- Client scripts
- UI policies
- Workflows and Flow Designer solutions
- Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, testing, and documentation
- Collaborate with senior developers, system administrators, and functional stakeholders
- Troubleshoot issues and support platform enhancements and continuous improvements
- Follow ServiceNow development best practices, security standards, and Serco development methodologies
- Maintain documentation for developed solutions and configurations
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of programming fundamentals and software development concepts
- Proficiency or coursework experience with JavaScript
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web-based application concepts
- Familiarity with relational databases and data modeling concepts
- Foundational understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) or IT operations principles
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
