Job Description For Akamai Technologies Recruitment 2024

As a Network Engineer, you’ll work on new installations. Also, the deployment, configuration and maintenance of routers and switches. You will have a key role in the development of organizational standards and advanced troubleshooting. This to ensure the continued growth and stability of our global platform.

As a Network Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining Juniper and Cisco routers and switches
• Configuring and debugging complex peering relationships via BGP (policies/route-maps) as well as high-capacity data circuits
• Working with vendors and internal organizations to build out large points of presence across the globe
• Collaborating with the cross-functional team on standards and processes for router deployments and update documentation accordingly
• Creating and maintaining detailed documentation on router configuration and non-standard setups
• Acting as an escalation point to resolve provider connectivity issues

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have an experience in managing and troubleshooting Juniper & Cisco routers and switches
• Demonstrate hands-on BGP experience with a large service provider organization
• Display solid experience in IP network design and routing architectures
• Have working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and Python programming language
• Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills and ability to build trusting relationships
• Be a highly organized self-starter who is comfortable working both independently and with cross-functional teams
