Software Engineer

• Design, develop, unit test, and roll out software features for a large-scale web portal and supporting platform.
• Contribute to full-stack development across Java-based backend services and modern web technologies.
• Build reliable and scalable functionality that supports customer-facing tools, APIs, analytics, configuration management, and web services.
• Collaborate with globally distributed, cross-functional engineering teams to plan and deliver new features.
• Develop comprehensive unit tests and participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of software quality.
• Work closely with QA engineers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in Scrum activities and contribute across development, testing, integration, and delivery.
• Investigate and resolve integration or production issues when required.
• Support continuous improvements to platform usability, resilience, scalability, and overall user experience.
• Contribute to an engineering environment that enables distributed teams to deliver products and features efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• 0–2 years of professional experience developing software with Java.
• 0–2 years of experience with UI technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Familiarity with responsive web design concepts and the fundamentals of modern user interfaces.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Foundational knowledge of databases and database concepts.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with engineering and QA teams in a globally distributed environment.
• Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working effectively with limited supervision. Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment. Passion for technology and an interest in building scalable, customer-focused software.
