Job Description

  • Coordinates and develops project concepts, objectives, specifications and resource needs.
  • Prepares development software, codes software (C++) and designs specific enhancements utilizing Socket API programming in Linux and Windows
  • Participates in the design, development, planning, modification and testing of application software (C++) running on Windows 10 and embedded Linux.
  • Recommends test control, strategies, apparatus and equipment for solving applications running on multiple processors.  Test and documents results
  • Conceptualizes, develops and analyzes engineering designs, specifications and test plans for systems and equipment based on customer/contract requirements
  • Research design concepts and feasibility utilizing advanced technical theory and knowledge to resolve software/hardware and target OS related issues
  • Researches programming system failures and designs and programs solutions. Performs complex analysis of design programming
  • Maintains liaison with the customers, coordinators, subcontractors and vendor representatives
  • Monitors project status and progress and measure system performance
  • Keeps abreast of improvements in software engineering. Identifies software engineering process improvement and supports the execution of them across the organization
  • Provides mentorship to junior engineering staff
  • Assumes additional technical responsibilities as needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related technical disciplines.
  • Requires a minimum of 3 months work experience and Bachelor’s degree; or a Master’s degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience to include specification, design and development of embedded software systems.
  • Requires proficiency using programming languages such as Java, C/C++/C#, Product Lifecycle Management, or other developmental software.
  • Must be eligible for DoD security clearance.
