Job Description

The Associate Software Engineer will work with an experienced team in a fast-paced, Agile environment to deliver business critical projects. The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Collaborate effectively with both onshore and offshore development team members, business owners, project management, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of relational databases, SQL and Java.
  • Rapidly learn new technologies including data engineering and AI systems.

Responsibilities

  • Work within the team developing and supporting data transformation and analytics systems with patent pending technology and applications to support our in-house audit partners.
  • Design and implement new solutions.
  • Maintain existing solutions.
  • Learn new technologies and apply them to the problem space.
  • Peer review software changes by other developers.
  • Provide technical input to the team on development.
  • Document the specifications, design, features, and operation of applications prior to production rollout.
  • Work collaboratively with business partners to define and ensure the completeness and accuracy of system/technical requirements.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Optimization and tuning of SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • 0-1 year experience with languages: Java or Python
  • 0–1 year experience with relational databases
  • 0-1 year experience with web services using Java and Spring Boot
  • Basic Knowledge and application of SAFe agile practices, preferred.
