Job Description
Babyscripts is looking for a Software Engineer that will help continue to evolve our patient-facing mobile application’s functionality and architecture, as well as the web application used by health care teams to manage, educate, and monitor their patients during pregnancy. You will help plan, design, and develop the features for one of our four product offerings
Key Responsibilities
This candidate will report to the Director of Engineering. Key responsibilities fall under the following domains:
- Be part of a multidisciplinary product team
- Contribute hands-on development for tickets assigned to you, with an initial focus on back-end processes, technical debt, and quality assurance
- Collaborate with senior engineers on strategic projects such as the Postgres database migration or developing E2E test automation
- Work to identify and implement ways to improve how Babyscripts writes, builds, and delivers application code
Required Experience
- Current enrollment in undergraduate or graduate degree program with expected graduation in spring 2026, preferably an engineering (software engineering), business, computer science, or STEM/technical discipline
- A strong interest in back-end processes, database technologies, and tackling technical debt is highly desirable
- A passion for improving the status quo of maternal healthcare
- Willingness to try new things and jump in to learn quickly on the job; flexible personality
- Authorization to work in the US is required
Helpful, but not Required Experience
- Experience working in a start-up environment
- Experience and/or passion for healthcare, public health, digital health, and/or innovation
- Experience with Typescript and/or Flutter
- Experience with a Cloud Provider, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with Agile or Kanban project management styles
