Job Description For Western Union Careers 2025

The Junior Associate, Solution Engineering has a significant role in developing large-scale enterprise level front-end solutions and ensuring that software functionality is implemented with a focus on code optimization. This role has significance in the designing and architecture of digital projects to improve financial services for families, small businesses, multinational corporations, and non-profit organizations.

Role Responsibilities

• To develop and implement new software, maintain, and improve existing software.
• Ensuring that software functionality is implemented with a focus on code optimization and organization.
• Recommending improvements to existing software programs.
• Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate issue resolution with operations, functional, and technical teams.
• Working with a software development team and Service providers in a geographically distributed structure.
• To work independently on medium complex projects.
• Emphasize customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development.
• To build, monitor, maintain CI/CD pipeline automation environments, assist the application development team to adopt and leverage CI/CD pipeline for code deployments.

Role Requirements

• 2 years of software development experience.
• Must be a problem solver with demonstrated experience in solving difficult technology challenges, with a can-do attitude.
• Solid experience in ReactJS, React Native, Redux developing mobile apps and web-based solutions.
• Experience in integrating REST and GraphQL API’s.
• Any experience working on Java, Spring Boot, microservices is a plus.
• Cloud experience (AWS) is a plus.
• Any native app development (Swing/Java) experience is a plus
• Knowledge of architecture design concepts, object-oriented design and techniques.
• Knowledge of logical and physical database architectures and operating systems.
• Self-starter with ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage workload, and consistently deliver results.
• Experience in Agile and Iterative development methodologies.
• Strong communication skills with ability to interact with partners globally.
