Job Description
Gain valuable exposure to accounting, valuations, and investor services within SS&C’s Hedge Fund Services and Private Markets groups. This program provides insights into middle-office services, transaction processing, applying accounting principles to complex transactions, financial reporting, pricing of complex securities, and more. Upon successful completion and good standing, candidates are placed in a department such as Alternative Assets, Real Assets, or Private Markets.
What You Will Get To Do:
- Build and maintain Python-based APIs and data pipelines
- Support development of AI/ML features (e.g. NLP, RAG, LLMs)
- Work with relational databases (SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL)
- Contribute to internal tools for reporting and workflow automation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, DevOps, Data)
- Learn agile, CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
What You Will Bring:
- Strong interest in finance, AI, and software engineering
- Proficiency in Python and SQL (academic or project-based)
- Familiarity with web frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask)
- Exposure to LLMs, LangChain, or data extraction is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- 0 – 2 years of relevant experience (graduation date May 2025 to May 2026)
- Strong client service skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and commitment to timely, accurate production of client deliverables
