Job Description For Q2 Careers 2026
Q2 is seeking an ambitious and adaptable Software Developer in Test to join our innovative team. We expect this role to support in evening shift hrs from 3pm IST to 12am IST. will work on ensuring the highest quality for online banking software across web, mobile, and voice platforms. This role provides hands-on experience in designing and executing test plans, implementing automation, and participating in product design discussions. You will develop core skills in testing both front-end and back-end services, writing automated scripts, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced, close-knit team. The role emphasizes a balance of attention to detail, creativity, and a proactive mindset to help drive product quality from day one.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design comprehensive test plans and document them.
- Execute test plans and report outcomes.
- Implement test automation where applicable.
- Author automated test scripts in JavaScript or equivalent scripting language.
- Participate in product design sessions and assist in driving product quality.
- Ensure compliance with security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor’s degree in a software-related field; 1–2 years of experience.
- Strong communication, teaming, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with version control systems (Git/Subversion) and defect tracking tools.
- Knowledge of JS scripting, closures, namespacing, debugging, and web services/RESTful APIs.
- Strong experience testing web-based software (front-end and back-end) and understanding TCP/IP communications.
- Familiarity with SAAS is highly desired.
