Engineering

As an R&D Design Engineer on our international team, you will play a key role in the product development of high-quality sanitary fittings. We are looking for an innovative and analytical engineer who excels at transforming concepts into functional, cost-effective, and high-performance products. You will take ownership of the design and dimensioning of components and assemblies, ensuring seamless integration, technical feasibility, and alignment with project timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Product Development: Lead and support the design and development of innovative components and assemblies specifically for sanitary fittings.
  • Design & Optimization: Execute the constructive design of parts while strictly considering design aesthetics, functional requirements, cost efficiency, and installation/assembly constraints.
  • Concept Generation: Develop innovative and creative concepts for new components and assemblies to drive product evolution.
  • Execute and maintain SAP master data, such as Engineering Change Management (ECM/ECN), Material Master Data management, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Project Assurance: Ensure all designs are completed in a timely manner, meet all functional specifications, and fit perfectly within the intended product architecture.
  • Engineering Calculations: Perform manual or tool-assisted engineering calculations to dimension components (e.g., verifying strength, stiffness and masses).Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align closely with global R&D teams

Requirements

  • Experience: Professional experience in mechanical design, product development, or engineering operations within a manufacturing or R&D environment—ideally within the sanitary or fluid-handling industry.
  • Technical Design Skills: Strong expertise in the constructive design of complex components, with a deep understanding of manufacturing constraints, material properties, and cost-to-design principles.
  • Analytical & Calculation Skills: Proficient in conducting mechanical dimensioning, structural calculations, and simulations (e.g., strength, stiffness, mass calculations) using manual methods or relevant engineering software.
  • Technical Tool Knowledge: Solid experience working with modern CAD systems (such as SolidEdge or Creo) alongside advanced R&D workflows, CAE, or simulation tools.
  • SAP Expertise: Solid expertise in SAP ERP, specifically within the fields of Engineering Change Management (ECM/ECN), Material Master Data management, and Bill of Materials (BOM) structures.
  • Quality & Timeline Mindset: A results-driven approach with a strong commitment to meeting project deadlines, functional requirements, and high quality standards
  • Communication & Collaboration: High-level English proficiency with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within local teams and with global stakeholders.
