We’re looking for a curious and driven AI + Software Engineering Intern who enjoys writing code, experimenting with AI-powered development tools, and turning ideas into working products. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, AI-assisted development, and rapid prototyping. You’ll work with modern coding tools and AI models to build, test, and improve real product features while developing strong engineering fundamentals. We value problem-solving ability, curiosity, and a willingness to build. You don't need to know every technology already, but you should be excited to learn, experiment, and ship.
Key Responsibilities1. Software Engineering & Product Development
- Build and improve web applications, product features, and internal tools.
- Work across frontend and backend systems using technologies such as React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and databases.
- Develop APIs, integrate services, and work with databases to support product functionality.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable code and understand the fundamentals behind what you build.
- Debug issues, test solutions, and improve application performance and reliability.
2. AI-Assisted Development & Engineering
- Use AI-powered coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex to accelerate development and solve engineering problems.
- Experiment with prompt engineering and AI workflows to generate, refine, debug, and improve code.
- Build functional prototypes and small applications using AI-assisted development approaches.
- Evaluate AI-generated code critically, validate outputs, and ensure code quality, security, and reliability.
- Explore opportunities to automate repetitive development tasks using AI and other tools.
3. Rapid Prototyping & Design-to-Code
- Convert product ideas, UI designs, and workflows into functional prototypes.
- Experiment with tools such as Figma and Framer to bridge the gap between design and implementation.
- Explore design-to-code and prompt-to-prototype workflows to build and iterate on features quickly.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to understand requirements and deliver usable solutions.
4. Engineering Excellence & Collaboration
- Work with experienced engineers to design, build, test, and ship product features.
- Identify technical bottlenecks and suggest practical improvements.
- Learn software engineering fundamentals, including version control, APIs, testing, debugging, and deployment.
- Stay curious about emerging AI models, developer tools, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated from Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong logical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and curiosity about how software works.
- Basic programming knowledge in at least one language, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, or C++.
- Familiarity with basic web development concepts, APIs, databases, or application development through coursework or personal projects.
- Genuine interest in AI-powered development tools and experimenting with tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, experiment independently, and take ownership of small projects.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and collaborate with a team.
Good to Have
- Personal projects, GitHub repositories, hackathon projects, or deployed applications.
- Experience using AI tools to build, debug, or improve an application.
- Familiarity with Figma, Framer, design systems, or design-to-code workflows.
- Exposure to React, React Native, Node.js, Python, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, or cloud platforms.
- Experience building prototypes using natural-language prompts or AI coding assistants.
- Understanding of Git, testing, deployment, and basic software architecture.
What We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone who combines engineering fundamentals with an AI-first building mindset. You could be a developer who loves experimenting with AI coding tools, or someone who enjoys turning ideas and designs into working products through code and AI-assisted workflows.
What matters most is that you:
- Enjoy building things rather than just learning theory.
- Are curious about how AI can change the way software is developed.
- Can think critically about AI-generated code instead of blindly accepting it.
- Are comfortable experimenting, learning from failures, and iterating quickly.
- Want to grow into an engineer who can take an idea from concept to a working product.
What We Offer
- Hands-on experience building real-world products at a fast-growing startup.
- Exposure to modern software engineering practices and AI-powered development workflows.
- Opportunities to experiment with emerging tools and technologies.
- Mentorship from experienced engineers and opportunities to take ownership of projects.
- A collaborative environment where curiosity, initiative, and practical problem-solving are valued.
