Job Description For Fynd Careers 2025

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Robotics Mechanical Design Engineer based in Mumbai with 2-4 years of experience. The primary responsibility will be designing, analysing, and optimising mechanical components and systems for robotic applications using SolidWorks as the main design software. While experience with Fusion 360 and Rhino is beneficial, SolidWorks expertise is essential. This role also involves leveraging Generative AI technology for design innovation.

What will you do at Fynd?

  • Mechanical Design & CAD Modeling: Use SolidWorks as the primary software for detailed mechanical designs, assemblies, motion studies, simulations, and renderings.
  • Prototyping & Fabrication: Build and test prototypes using rapid prototyping techniques, such as 3D printing, CNC machining, woodworking, and tooling.
  • GenAI Integration: Utilize Generative AI tools to assist with design optimization and component ideation, enhancing innovation and efficiency.
  • Mechanism & Power Transmission Design: Design and analyze gears, linkages, pulleys, suspension systems, and powertrains to ensure efficiency and reliability.
  • Motor & Powertrain Integration: Specify and integrate motors, actuators, and powertrain components, performing torque, load, and force calculations to meet robotic requirements.
  • Testing & Structural Analysis: Perform FEA and structural analysis to evaluate design robustness and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation in SolidWorks, including 3D models, BOMs, assembly drawings, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with electrical, software, and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components within robotic systems.

Some Specific Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years in mechanical design, preferably in robotics or automation.
  • Must be based in Mumbai, India.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks for design, assembly, simulation, motion studies, and rendering.
  • Familiarity with Fusion 360 and Rhino is advantageous.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping techniques, including 3D printing, CNC machining, and other fabrication methods.
  • Understanding of gears, pulleys, linkages, suspension systems, and power transmission.
  • Hands-on experience using Generative AI tools for mechanical design and optimisation.
  • Strong understanding and application of FEA and dynamic simulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automating design calculations.
  • Familiarity with robotics-specific designs, including robotic arms and mobile platforms.
  • Understanding of suspension systems for mobile robotic applications.
