- Design and develop electrical wiring harness systems for vehicles or industrial equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Create 2D and 3D harness routing using CAD tools (e.g., CATIA V5, Siemens NX, or Zuken E3).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to integrate harness designs into overall product architecture.
- Generate and maintain detailed documentation including wiring diagrams, connector tables, and BOMs.
- Conduct design reviews, DFMEA, and validation activities to ensure product reliability and manufacturability.
- Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting of harness systems.
- Interface with suppliers for component selection, cost optimization, and manufacturability feedback.
Qualifications
BE in Electrical Engineering with knowledge of automobile parts
Essential Skills
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring harness architecture, and component selection.
- Proficiency in CAD tools for harness design (e.g., CATIA Electrical, Capital Harness, Zuken E3).
- Familiarity with automotive or industrial standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IPC/WHMA-A-620).
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience with PLM systems and change management processes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work with deadlines & without supervision
- Analytical skills and logical thinking
- Adaptability and learning skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills
Desired Skills
- Experience with high-voltage harness design for EV or hybrid systems.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC considerations in harness layout.
- Exposure to CAN, LIN, or other automotive communication protocols.
- Hands-on experience with harness manufacturing or assembly processes.
- Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, and root cause analysis tools.
Experience
- BE Electrical and Electronics
- Strong Electrical subject Knowledge
- Electric Wiring Harness Schematic
- Electrical CAD Tools: Zuken, AutoCAD, KiCAD, Tina, SolidWorks Schematics, LCable.
- Candidates doing internship or Schematic special education preferred
- Must sign 2 yrs bond
- Good Communication skills
