- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments
- Serve as the primary point of contact for our business partners ensuring smooth and quick resolution to incidents and requests for MSSQL and Oracle DB services
- Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, indexing and data corruption
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all database systems and processes
- Collaborate with other IT teams and business stakeholders to support application development and data integration projects
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator with a strong focus on Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with HA solutions for databases, Failover clustering, Always-on, Replication
- Demonstrable experience in vendor management, specifically with IT service partners
- Basic knowledge of Oracle database administration
- Solid understanding of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Knowledge in relevant Infrastructure components like servers, virtualization, network, clients and firewall technology
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Oracle Database Administration Certified Professional) are a plus
