- Design, validate, and maintain generator set control panel designs, by supporting the product from the initial concept design, through the entire lifecycle of the product.
- Utilizing 3D modelling software and standardized design practices to complete design and implementation of control panels, harnessing, generator power connections, and other ancillary components related to the packaging of generator sets.
- Resolve problems related to manufacturing at multiple worldwide generator set assembly facilities
- Collaborate on design and product validation with multiple global suppliers, through the development and executing of detailed project and validation plans
- Use technical expertise and product knowledge to resolve product quality issues by interfacing with engineers, service representatives, plant personnel, suppliers, and consultants.
- Participate in the adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Implement planning and engineering improvement procedures and operations to make the product or process more reliable, efficient and cost-effective.
- Provide guidance to other engineers as required to ensure development schedules are met
Degree Requirement:
- Requires a Bachelors degree in an accredited Engineering (preferred- Electrical Engineering), Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
