Job Description For BT Group Careers 2026
The Software Engineering Professional supports the execution of BTs software engineering strategy through cross-functional delivery, contributing to the development of technical solutions and platforms that enable innovation and engineering excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and implement business workflows using BPMN 2 -0 and any workflow engine knowledge.
- Build robust microservices and RESTful APIs using Java JDK 11+, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud.
- Work with RDBMS (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
- Deploy applications using Docker and manage them in Kubernetes (K8s) clusters.
- Familiar with pipelines using Jenkins, Spinnaker, and other automation tools.
- Familiar with tools like Prometheus, ELK Stack, and Grafana to ensure system health and performance.
- Maintain high code quality through testing, reviews, and detailed process documentation.
The skills you’ll need
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Hands-on experience in Java development.
- Hands-on expertise in BPMN 2 -0, Flowable and similar tools.
- Proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security.
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Prometheus, ELK, and Grafana.
- Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments and DevOps models.
