Job Description For ARES Careers 2024
Bachelor’s degree from a top school with a minimum of one year of related work experience
Experience Required:
- At least 1+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in equity research, valuation, accounting, investment banking, investment management or management consulting
General Requirements
- Attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy and organization
- Demonstrated strong academic performance
- Possess a strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly to contribute to a team-oriented environment
- Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and represent the Firm in a professional manner
- Strong corporate finance and accounting skills
- Problem solver with ability to research solutions and suggest resolutions
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment with multiple tasks
- Motivated with the ability to set priorities, multitask, and monitor own workload to meet aggressive deadlines
Potential Task Overview
Collaborate with team members across our 4 public vehicles (ARES, ARCC, ACRE, ARDC) on the following:
- Peer database improvement and management (including ARCC’s 15c process)
- Quarterly updates for Investor Presentations and Fact Sheets
- Preparation for board meetings including internal valuation analysis, tracking of research coverage, peer benchmarking
- Assistance in DDQ requests and answering questions from institutional or retail investors
- Collaboration with Finance and Accounting on data requests for various analysis
- Investor Relations-related website and press release updates & management in collaboration with third party providers
- Various tasks around quarterly earnings, including peer and market research, earnings script review, data tie-outs in conjunction with the SEC reporting team
