We are looking for a well-rounded, fast learner to join our Report Development Team. A successful Technical Engineer will be able to bridge the gap between technical skills and financial industry knowledge to design, develop, and customize reports and dashboards within the Allvue Nexius Platform to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders. You will work closely with the rest of the engineering team, other internal teams, and with clients as your knowledge and product experience grows. The ideal candidate will be motivated to learn new skills and technology, as well as focused on the client experience – helping our clients achieve the best possible outcomes for their business.

Responsibilities

Report Development:

• Develop, design, and customize reports and dashboards within the Allvue Nexius Platform, tailored to users’ specific business needs.
• Create advanced, parameterized, and dynamic reports for financial data, investment performance, and portfolio management.
• Ensure scalable and maintainable report designs to support future platform enhancements.

Data Analysis And Visualization

• Extract and analyze data from Nexius datasets, presenting it in user-friendly visual formats to aid decision-making.
• Build insightful dashboards and reports to track investment performance, fund analytics, compliance, and operational KPIs.

Data Management

• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of financial data in reports.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to verify report outcomes.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Translate business needs into actionable reporting solutions by aligning development processes with user priorities.
• Provide training and support for end-users on accessing and interpreting the reports.
• Provide training and support to client’s IT team to develop custom report on Allvue Nexius Platform

Troubleshooting And Maintenance

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing reports or BI dashboards.
• Perform regular audits and enhancements on reports to improve performance and functionality.
• Maintain proper documentation for report structures, queries, and processes.

Requirements

• Proficiency with SQL, T-SQL or other direct coding experience
• Proficiency in developing reports in SSRS and Power BI report builder
• Proficiency in developing dashboards in Power BI including creating complex DAX calculations and measures
• Understanding of API technologies including RESTful and GraphQL architectures and OAuth-based authentication
• Ability to read and breakdown complex Excel formulas including but not limited to lookup and array functions
• Understanding of financial terms and ability to translate into Technical Requirements
• Must be a resourceful problem solver and self-starter, and able to communicate effectively
• Desire to learn new skills, technology platforms and further finance knowledge
• Experience working with Jira and Agile Practice a plus
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and be adept at listening and soliciting feedback
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment and successfully manage multiple competing priorities
• Detail-oriented & strong work ethic

Education/Certifications

Bachelors degree in related disciplineComputer skills:

• SQL, T-SQL, SSRS, Power BI, DAX
• Microsoft Excel
• Good to have knowledge of XML/XPath and XSLT
• Git
• ADO
• Jira
• Nice to have knowledge of REST, GraphQL and OAuth 2.0
• English (reading, writing, verbal)
