Job Description For AB InBev Careers 2024

Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev)’s Commercial Analytics is responsible for building competitive differentiated solutions that improve profitability, and revenue or save costs in our commercial capabilities (Recommendations, Price & promo optimization, to name a few).

As a Junior Data Scientist, you will work at the intersection of:

• Conducting exploratory data analysis to uncover trends and extract actionable insights from diverse datasets
• Contributing to the development of data-driven strategies to improve business outcomes
• Developing, Deploying and Monitoring Machine Learning Algorithms
• Use best practices for deploying models, modularizing codes, and leveraging the tech stack

As a bonus, you will assist fellow Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers in the team in building new product features, like developing and deploying new analytical models into production. You will also have the chance to learn about and contribute to the technology stack across different projects.

KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• You are expected to explore, develop, and deploy machine learning algorithms with improved methodologies and accuracy while adhering to code design and style standards
• You will document your thought process and create artifacts in the team repository/wiki to share with business and engineering teams for sign-off
• You will significantly improve the performance and reliability of our code, ensuring high-quality and reproducible results by following good developer practices, including writing tests, using loggers, and updating documentation such as README files
• You will actively participate in team meetings, providing constructive feedback and sharing your ideas
• You will seek opportunities to learn and grow, staying updated on industry trends and best practices
• You will demonstrate a proactive attitude, taking the initiative to identify and solve problems
• You will foster a positive and inclusive team environment, supporting and respecting your colleagues

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

• Academic degree in, but not limited to, Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering (CS), B.Tech/BE/ Masters in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, Economics, etc.
• Minimum 1 – 3+ years of relevant experience in Analytics & Data Science/building ML models

Expertise in the following:

• Strong Python coding skills (pandas, numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, statsmodels, tensorflow, etc.) and Excel, with additional proficiency in PySpark, R, and SQL being a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and analytically
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for documenting processes and presenting findings
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of classical approaches in Machine Learning, Linear Algebra and Mathematical Optimization
• Understanding of science fundamentals (experimental design, hypothesis testing, reproducibility)

Few Qualifications, Experiences, Skills in addition that will make you stand out:

• Industry Exposure – CPG & capability of successfully deploying analytics solutions and products for internal or external clients
• Exposure to AI/ML methodologies with previous hands-on experience in ML concepts like time series forecasting, clustering, regression, classification, optimization, and others
• Exposure to working in VSC, PyCharm, DataBricks etc.
• Experience in code versioning (like Git), maintaining modularized code base for multiple deployments
• Basic knowledge of object-oriented design and concepts
• Basic understanding of any public cloud, RESTful APIs and containerization
