Job Description For Tata Power Careers 2024
As a PG Trainee in Fire & Safety at Tata Power, you will be part of a team dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees, contractors, and visitors. You will be responsible for supporting fire prevention, safety protocols, and emergency response plans across the company’s facilities. This role involves both hands-on and administrative tasks aimed at maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fire Safety Management:
- Assist in the development and implementation of fire safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular fire risk assessments and audits.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire safety regulations.
- Training and Awareness:
- Conduct fire safety training sessions for employees and contractors.
- Promote fire safety awareness through campaigns and educational programs.
- Participate in safety drills and mock evacuation exercises.
- Emergency Preparedness:
- Assist in the development of emergency response plans.
- Coordinate with local fire departments and emergency services.
- Maintain and inspect fire safety equipment such as alarms, extinguishers, and sprinkler systems.
- Incident Investigation:
- Participate in investigations of fire incidents and near-misses.
- Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommendations for preventive measures.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Safety Inspections:
- Conduct regular safety inspections of facilities and equipment.
- Identify potential fire hazards and suggest mitigation measures.
- Ensure that all fire safety equipment is maintained and operational.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of fire safety inspections, drills, and training sessions.
- Prepare reports on fire safety activities and incidents for management review.
- Ensure documentation is up-to-date and complies with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education:
- Post Graduate degree in Fire & Safety Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of fire prevention and protection systems.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and standards (e.g., NFPA, OSHA).
- Proficiency in using fire safety equipment and tools.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience:
- Prior internship or experience in fire safety management is an advantage.
- Experience in conducting training sessions and safety drills.
