Job Description
This is a hands-on software engineering internship designed to give you real ownership from day one. You’ll partner closely with your manager to identify and define a meaningful technical problem, then take the lead in building a solution from the ground up. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working autonomously, embraces challenges, and can translate ideas into functional products. A core part of this role is leveraging AI-assisted development—using coding agents and modern AI workflows as integral tools throughout the development process.
What You’ll Work On
You will collaborate with your manager to scope a high-impact project and own it end-to-end—from problem definition and system design through implementation and delivery. Your work will focus on building a functional application or tool using cutting-edge, AI-powered development practices. Along the way, you’ll refine your own approach to working effectively with coding agents and document your learnings.
What You’ll Deliver
By the end of the internship, you will deliver:
- A working product that addresses a real-world problem
- An executive-ready presentation outlining your approach, methodology, and key insights for leadership
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior undergraduate, or a Graduate (MS or MBA) student in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience building AI applications — whether through coursework, personal projects, open-source contributions, or prior internships.
- Proficiency in Python with hands-on experience using ML libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Experience working with LLM/GenAI platforms (e.g., OpenAI API, Anthropic Claude, LangChain, RAG pipelines, or prompt engineering).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data tools including SQL and data pipeline or dashboard tooling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present technical concepts clearly to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-starter with the ability to move fast, iterate, and learn from ambiguous, real-world data problems.
