Job Description For Siemens Careers 2024

As Data Analyst for energy storage systems, every day is not the same in your multicultural team. You will be responsible with your colleagues for the development of the best-fit-solutions in Energy Storage for our global customers and make a significant contribution to the energy transition. With our Siemens Energy-wide collaboration, we combine various sustainable solutions to increase our customer happiness.

Your new role – challenging and future–oriented:

• Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources including battery management systems (BMS), sensors, and external databases.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows for efficient data ingestion, storage, and processing.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in battery performance data.
• Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical techniques to extract meaningful insights and predict battery behavior.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, R&D, and product management to define data requirements and analysis objectives.
• Create interactive dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings and key performance metrics to stakeholders.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of data anomalies or discrepancies and propose solutions for data quality improvement.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis and battery analytics.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

• Bachelor’s or Master´s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field preferred, but other fields will be considered.
• Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in the energy storage, renewable energy, or automotive industry.
• Familiarity with database systems and query languages for data extraction and manipulation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Experience with data visualization libraries for creating interactive dashboards and reports.
• Motivated to adapt into new technologies.
• Intercultural experience and motivation to work with multicultural teams.
• Good communication and presentation skills and a self-organized way of working in an intercultural environment.
• Knowledge in Battery Management System is a plus.
• Fluent in English (mandatory); German skills are a plus.
• Long-term experience with large storage system is a plus.
